Cattle Competition

Rules of Entry

1.   All exhibits must be registered in the Calf Register or Herd book of the particular show.
2.   Inspection of tattoos or photos may be made by the Society.
3.   All cattle must be secured by a halter. Poll exhibits or any partially or wholly de-horned exhibits must be securely tied by both an effective collar of neck rope and halter, at all times when not under immediate and effective control of an attendant. All bulls under one year must be secured by the nose when being led, and all bulls of 1 year and over must be rung.
4.   In the Breed section, all females must be fitted with a nose grip when being led.
5.   Ages of all cattle taken as at show day.
6.   In breeds with small numbers the Show Society reserves the right to limit the awarding of broad ribbons.
7.   Animals that enter the Special Interbred Paid class must be judged in their age classes first.
8.   Primary producers are required to have their own public liability insurance.

South Western Region of VAS Ltd Beef and Dairy Most Successful Competitor
$100 prize money will be awarded to the Exhibitor who exhibits the most Beef/Dairy Interbreed Champions in one season of the South Western Region of VAS Ltd Shows. This award will be presented at the 2026 South Western Group Final.
