VAS Competition - Photography

Entries can be submitted online or dropped off at the Springdale Community Centre, Drysdale
together with a fully completed and signed entry form and fee.

Please ensure that all entries have a label placed on the top left-hand corner on back of mounting.

Accepted entries are subject to the competition Rules and Regulations as well as additional conditions, detailed below.


Theme - Architecture (bridge, building or structure) in Australia

ENTRY FEE: $1.00 per entry (except students and aged care residents - free entry)

Entries Close: 20 February 2026 4pm

Additional Rules of Entry.

  1. PHOTO SIZE: All photos to measure 6”x 8” (15cm x 20cm).

  2. PRESENTATION: Photos must be presented securely mounted with matt board or on a thick black or white card. No other medium accepted Mount size is to be 8”x10” (20cm x 25cm) outside edge. Framed prints will not be accepted.

  3. LABELLING REQUIREMENT: Label to attach to the top left corner on of the mount. Make sure that your name is not included on the mount.

  4. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Each person may enter up to 5 photos in each class. School age children are also permitted to enter any of the open classes.

  5. COLLECTION OF PHOTOS: Photographs are to be collected from the Netball rooms between 3.30pm and 4pm on Show Day. If unable to collect in person please nominate someone to collect for you. Uncollected photos will not be kept.

  6. OWNERSHIP: An entrant must be the creator of the photograph and not be a professional.

  7. PEOPLES CHOICE; will be collected and collated on the day of the show.

  8. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ENTRIES: Each person may enter up to five photos in each class. School age children are also permitted to enter any of the Open Classes.

  9. COLLECTION OF PHOTOS: Photographs are to be collected from the Netball Rooms between 3.30pm and 4.00pm on show day. If unable to attend, nominate the person collecting your photo on your entry form. Any uncollected photos will not be kept.

  10. PRIZES: All prizes are to be collected at the same time as the photographs from the Netball Rooms, Sunday 8th March

  11. CARE: Care will be taken but NO liability will be accepted for loss or damage to exhibits.

  12. DISPLAY: Entrants agree that their name and image title will be displayed on the front of the image when exhibited.

  13. MEDIA: The committee reserves the right to reproduce any works in the media ie the press and television.

  14. JUDGING: The Judge will be selected by the committee. The judge's decision will be final.

  15. Photographs previously entered and exhibited in the Bellarine Agricultural Society Photography Section cannot be resubmitted.

  16. The committee reserves the right to reject any work considered to be unsuitable or offensive.
